Bill Hunter was one of three journalists who were allowed into Jack Ruby's apartment by his roommate George Senator following his killing of Lee Oswald. He wrote the book Three Days in Dallas. He died of an accidental discharge of a service revolver when visiting the Las Vegas Police Department. Neither of the other two writers, Jim Koethe and Tom Howard lived much longer.
