Dale Turner was black nanny that Madeleine Brown brought into her home take care of her (and Lyndon Johnson's) son, Steven Mark Brown. When Johnson found out about this, he told Madeleine to fire or, somehow get her away from the boy.

She refused because the woman was doing a good job. The next day Turner disappeared and was never heard from again.
