Truth is treason in the empire of lies.

...you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.  John 8:32

Judyth Baker

Oswald's New Orleans girlfriend
Oswald and Baker

A young cancer researcher, biochemist Judyth Baker was recruited by Mary Sherman to join in some advanced and secretive projects – involving cancer... not the cure, but the infection. Working under the cover or the Reily Coffee Company in New Orleans. Her boss at the time was former FBI agent William Monaghan.

She became involved in efforts to use it to remove Fidel Castro... with the backing of the CIA. It was through this effort that she met Lee Oswald... as well as Guy Bannister and David Ferrie.

She said that when she fixed her hair like Marina Oswald, being the the same height and weight as Oswald's wife, her ability to speak broken Russian, she hit it off with him. As time when on, the relationship developed and the two unhappily married Castro counter revolutionaries planned to get divorces and get married in Mexico.

There is a story about the couple tested some of their research material on some mental hospital patients. Driven to the site by Clay Shaw. The product was a highly virulent strain that was to produce death within 27 days. Oswald became adept at handling this dangerous material and at one point attempting to transport it to Cuba. A hurricane devastating Cuba and the short shelf life of the cancer cells brought this to nothing. The material was supposedly so powerful that some of the patients began showing symptoms before the all the material was administered.

Later Jack Ruby complained that he had been injected with cancer cells by some woman from Chicago. Mary Sherman was from Chicago.

Baker kept much of this to herself because she wanted to continue in the land of the living after witnessing the demise of many of those connected with the assassination. This fear was amplified by a call she received the day after from David Ferrie died, advising her not to talk about what she knew.

There are sympathetic readers who have doubts about some of the claims but some of the items, neither they nor I were there so I would withhold judgment.

Me & Lee: How I Came to Know, Love and Lose Lee Harvey Oswald
by Judyth Vary Baker

Judyth Vary was once a promising science student who dreamed of finding a cure for cancer; this exposé is her account of how she strayed from a path of mainstream scholarship at the University of Florida to a life of espionage in New Orleans with Lee Harvey Oswald. In her narrative she offers extensive documentation on how she came to be a cancer expert at such a young age, the personalities who urged her to relocate to New Orleans, and what led to her involvement in the development of a biological weapon that Oswald was to smuggle into Cuba to eliminate Fidel Castro. Details on what she knew of Kennedy’s impending assassination, her conversations with Oswald as late as two days before the killing, and her belief that Oswald was a deep-cover intelligence agent who was framed for an assassination he was actually trying to prevent, are also revealed.
