Julia Ann Mercer was driving through Dealey Plaza about 11 in the morning of November 22. She was held up in traffic but saw a pick up truck stopped by the side of the road. She saw a man get out and retriever what looked like a rifle case from the back and proceed up the grassy knoll toward the fence.

When showed pictures she identified the driver as Jack Ruby. Official reports say otherwise, but she stood by her story. Looking to avoid publicity she did not testify at the congressional investigations years after the Warren Commission finished their report.
