R S Truly was Lee Oswald's supervisor at the Texas School Book Depository. Truly was out front watching the motorcade. When the President was shot as the car drove by Truly thought the shots came from the area of the triple underpass.

He went back in the building accompanied by Dallas Police Officer Baker. As they went through the building looking for people who didn't belong there, they came across Lee Oswald in the lunch room calmly sipping a Coke. The officer asked Truly if he knew Oswald. He said he did and Oswald was an employee at the depository. As they talked later going through the building the officer also thought the shots came from the triple underpass.
