Truth is treason in the empire of lies.

you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.  John 8:32

More than just a single nut case...

You will see a couple hundred names listed here.  Some have helped create the environment where things like the assassination of a US President took place.  Some are listed to give an insight into the people and organizations involved.  Some are people you have never heard of but they were just at a particular location at a particular point in history.  Some people remember things differently than others.  Some even have come up with theories about what and who drove the events that day.  There are some who, for some perverse reason, are looking to take credit for shooting the President - far too many if all confessions are to be believed.

The evidence shows that there was more than one shooter - who could have been from pretty much any of the groups that wanted the President gone.  However, it is good to keep in mind that only the government agencies involved had the ability to suppress so much information so effectively.  The most serious aspect of this is the number of people who lost their lives because of their contact with this or other incriminating information.  Their names are marked with and asterisk (*).  It is important to also remember that there were various groups that believed it was in their interest to eliminate witnesses and enemies.  For instance Cuban intelligence operatives based in Miami eliminated some who were working to remove Fidel Castro.  More that sixty years after the fact, all we can do is try to put the pieces together the best we can.  Where helpful we have included videos and quotes to give a better understanding of the people and the times.

We have added quotations from some of the people involved to give a better insight into who they really were.

The Kennedy Circle

Most of those listed were generally supportive of the President, although over time a couple of relationships soured.  There is no indication that any of them had anything to do with the assassination, however it is quite possible that association with some of the people contributed to his demise.  For instance, the fact that John's father, Joseph, used his connections to the underworld and convinced them to help swing the very tight election in favor of John... after which his Attorney General brother made it his business to try to drive the mobsters out of business.  Then there was Mary Pinchot Meyer whose relationship with the President gave her access to much more information than civilians were entitled to.  There was a complex web of intrigue in the White House that much of the public was completely oblivious to as they admired the young President.  See list.   Quotes

The Johnson Circle

The apparent deceit and treachery that accompanied and facilitated Lyndon Johnson's rise to power would rival any portrayed in a Shakespearean tragedy.  Many on the left who recognize the the coup that removed a president some believed to be weak, cannot bring themselves to consider the possibility that the man who benefited most from the transition of power may have been involved in the process because they admire some of the things he did while in office.  They ignore the testimony of some who were closest to him, like Billy Sol Estes, but accept it in other areas of the historic event.  See list.  Quotes

Secret Service

Secret Service personnel involved in the president's trip to Dallas.  Some did the best job they could to protect the President and those around him.  Others took an active part in putting a damper on information that conflicted with the official report of Lee Oswald as the lone shooter... just minutes after the president was killed.

Spooks, Feds and Snitches

Much of the work of these spooks, feds and snitches took place out of the public view.  However leadership changes in foreign governments and were seen by all, but without the understanding of what really happened and why.  Much of this clandestine work was done without the supervision of the executive branch or even the knowledge of the president and congress.  Budgets for these activities often showed up as some of the ridiculous projects like the study of transgender elephants in the heart of Africa.  Basically they were unsupervised and they pretty much ran their own foreign policy as was seen in Guatemala, Vietnam and, especially Cuba.  This is what led to the break down between the CIA and President Kennedy.  He fired the people at the top and was in the process of limiting their power when he died.  See list.  Quotes

The Cubans

The group of Cubans is an interesting mix of Fidel Castro and his followers versus the Cuban exiles trying to displace them.  The CIA and other organizations were supporting the exiles and led them to run ahead of the support available... and why the Bay of Pigs invasion failed spectacularly.  Cuban intelligence had an active presence during this time period, keeping tabs on exiles as they planned a counter revolutionary return and eliminating some of the threats and potential threats.

New Orleans Connection

New Orleans was a hot bed of Cuban exile activity as they prepared to go back to free their island home.  They were training on the north side of Lake Ponchartrain and were supported by the likes of Bannister and Ferrie.  When Jim Garrison saw nothing was being done about the killing of the US President he did his own investigation.  In spite of witnesses disappearing or refusing to testify, he started his quest for the truth with Clay Shaw, however the DA's office was no match for the folks from Washington with their resources and determination to hide the truth from the American people.  See list.    Quotes

Texas Oil Money

Since Lyndon Johnson was a dominant figure in Texas politics, he had many friends in the Texas oil business.  They enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship as his career progressed and the business men became wealthier and wealthier.  This group was becoming increasingly concerned as President Kennedy believed the oil depletion allowance was costing the government a lot of revenue and was giving the producers an unwarranted free ride.  Beyond this simple economics, this group was far more conservative than the president and liked little of the way he was running the country.  See list.     Quote

Government Oversight

These officials hired by the people of the United States to insure honest government and find the truth about the assassination of the President as well as other public matters often found themselves working toward other results based on leadership decisions.  Some were concerned about the truth were either dismissed or silenced in the name of the "greater good"  See list!    Quotes

Organized Crime

The history of the US government working with organized crime dates back, at least, to the days of World War II when they needed information in preparation for the invasion of Sicily.  The intelligence apparatus had relatively few reservations about working with less than upstanding sources.  Operation Paperclip is sufficient evidence that this continued after the hostilities were over.  Castro's takeover of Cuba was another case where the interests of the intelligence community and organized crime ran in the same direction as the new dictator closed down some very profitable casinos in Havana.  As Daniel Marvin revealed, the Special Forces people were often dispatched to take out troublesome people overseas, but they refused to do such jobs on American soil.  This is where the connection between the intelligence community and organized crime became mutually beneficial.  By law, the CIA was forbidden to operate domestically, however as James Angleton pointed out, it was ridiculous to expect a secret intelligence agency to operate strictly to by the laws written for the civilian population... especially when the interests of the government and the bad guys aligned so well.  See List.     Quotes

Dallas Connection

For the most part, those listed from Dallas are the police officers who investigated the assassination as well as the medical people who has first hand knowledge of the President's wounds.  Others were running the Texas School Book Depository or were acquainted with some of the people involved.  Witnesses are in their own section.  See list.     Quotes

The Writers

This is a list of some of the independent writers who investigated the death of the President.  They were not part of the Project Mockingbird and were not promoting the official account as determined by powerful people in the government.  This group had the highest mortality rate of any and which is probably due to their insatiable curiosity and persistent search for the truth.  See list.      Quotes

Oswald Circle

These are the people closest to Lee Oswald as he was growing up and as he was finding his way in life.  He did not have a close family unit and moved around quite a bit.  He lived with his uncle for a short time.  All this led him to appear to be the disaffected loner the official narrative called for.   See list.    Quotes

Witnesses

An event this broad and earth shaking was sure to have touched many lives, leaving people with stories to tell.  There were many people with these stories who had proof the official tale was flawed and full of holes.  Many who did not follow the authorized story were ignored - some were even victims Project Mongoose, and some were simply eliminated.  See list.     Quotes

Uncatagorized but important

There are a number of people who don't necessarily fit into any category very well but need to be included because they are part of the story of the assassination.  Some have importance leading up to that day.  Some give a picture of the aftermath and some give a picture of the culture of the time that allowed these events to happen.  See list.     Quotes

Projects, Places & More

There were many operations and activities leading up to the day of the assassination.  Many were just part of the everyday operations of the intelligence community as they worked to influence events around the world and at home.  There was a paranoia about the the threat from the Soviet Union.  It can be argued whether of not this threat was real or imagined.  In any case, it drove the actions of many as they looked to defend the US.  See List.
